Looks like these guys are finally getting their wish. This whole thing just makes me pine for the days when we used to get 3 Champions League spots. It'd be so nice to see one of the 3 or 4 other quality teams in the Eredivisie (NAC, Heerenveen, Twente...) get to play the big boys. The question is, what does the Eredivise have to accomplish to make this happen? Well a little research into that very question yielded some calculations that I really don't feel like messing with at 4:30 on a Friday, but I thinks its safe to say that the '01/'02 Feyenoord UEFA Cup win doesn't do squat for us anymore. What the chart below DOES tell us is that we all need to root against anything Portuguese, Romanian or Russian.

All of this includes national team performance, so yes, you should give a little cheer if Ronaldo picks up a ACL injury against Barca next week or if our old buddy Cristian Chivu suddenly decides to retire so he can follow his dream of becoming a painter...
