Miralem Sulejmani to be Ajacied?

I've seen this kid play a few times, he's got some wonderful skills, seems to be a great finisher, and what I like the most is that he's strong and doesnt go down at the slightest touch like Suarez does. And he's 19!!!

Looks like these guys are finally getting their wish. This whole thing just makes me pine for the days when we used to get 3 Champions League spots. It'd be so nice to see one of the 3 or 4 other quality teams in the Eredivisie (NAC, Heerenveen, Twente...) get to play the big boys. The question is, what does the Eredivise have to accomplish to make this happen? Well a little research into that very question yielded some calculations that I really don't feel like messing with at 4:30 on a Friday, but I thinks its safe to say that the '01/'02 Feyenoord UEFA Cup win doesn't do squat for us anymore. What the chart below DOES tell us is that we all need to root against anything Portuguese, Romanian or Russian.

All of this includes national team performance, so yes, you should give a little cheer if Ronaldo picks up a ACL injury against Barca next week or if our old buddy Cristian Chivu suddenly decides to retire so he can follow his dream of becoming a painter...

Regarding Johnny's Departure...

I have to say that as painful as it is to see a player of this caliber leave the team, it is nice to see that they guy is geniunely upset about having to leave the ArenA. He deserves all the opportunity in the world to go to a big club like Atletico, and I will of course follow that team now that he is playing with them (as I do with all of our departed players), its just nice to read articles like the one on Goal.com.

Darío Cvitanich

Looks like Ajax has signed 23 yr old Dario Cvitanich from Argentinian club Banfield...could this be a possible back-up plan in case Huntelaar ends up leaving? Lets hope he at least has a bigger impact and lasts longer than Rosales did.

Anyone notice our old buddy Raffy VDV at the match this weekend?? Anyone else find that a bit odd? Maybe my memory is a bit fuzzy, but I though that guy pretty much demanded to be moved and left on not-so-great terms a few years ago...?
