Ajax relegated to Big Apple Youth Soccer League

A string of terrible results has forced Eredivise officials to relegate Ajax Amsterdam to one of the lower divisions of girls soccer in Burlington, Vermont. Ajax will play their first match on Sunday vs. current 3rd place side "Its a girl thang!". Said Marco van Basten, "The boys better come to play this weekend, they think they had a tough game in Arnhem...wait till they have to deal with those soccer mom supporters. I just hope we can match their intensity level".

In other news, Ryan Babel has officially been labeled the biggest disappointment in Liverpool history.

Ha...might as well.

Liverpool fans would probably put that on a shirt. Maybe they will sell him back a la Keane.

At least Ryan Babel wanted to go back to Ajax on loan. Problem is management wasn't going for it. I think what we should really focus on is the fact that Van Basten as a coach, is a fraud. I'd rather have Koeman back—and that's saying a lot. It really pains me to see AZ playing the Ajax way while Ajax are playing without a clue. First of all get rid of Van Basten. If he couldn't do it with Holland's best, he's not going to do it with Holland's youngest. Second get rid of that goalkeeper and put Vermeer back in, that guy is a bad keeper, they should have kept Lobont. Third, they need to start paying their players a little more so that they stay for another year or two. Is Ajax an investment company or a football club? Yet another lost season, bring back Van Gaal, bring back Cruyff!! And if not, at least Co Adriaanse!

I'm going back past my own personal knowledge of Ajax history here, but who was Ajax coach when Marco played in Amsterdam? The question i'm wondering is who has Marco modeled his coaching style after, is it one of the influential Dutch coaches in his life or whoever was coaching Milan when he played there or someone else? Or is he just doing his own thing?
Agreed about Steks, he just isnt the same after the injury. Hopefully he'll bounce back soon, I guess we'll see in the Tunisia friendly.

Aaaand the answer to that question is no...Steks is not back yet. Jeezus...
